Your Guide to Charities in and around Rochester, NY

... linking item donors and volunteers to local nonprofit agencies

The Wishbook features Wish Lists of Items Needed and Volunteers Needed by more than 175 Rochester-area charitable agencies.

Use the listings to find a charity that needs your donated item or volunteer skill. Follow the link to the agency's page, and call or email the agency to arrange for delivery or pickup of a listed item, or for details on volunteering.

Donated items should be clean, useable, and in good condition, with no missing pieces or pages (puzzles, games, books, etc.). Clothing should be clean, and not torn or stained. When in doubt, contact the charity.

It's Not Just About the Money –

The primary purpose of the Wishbook is to provide charities with donated ITEMS and volunteers they need.

Of course, every agency welcomes monetary gifts, and some include them in their Wish List; however, it takes just a little time and effort to donate those still-useful ITEMS when you are decluttering, downsizing, or reorganizing.

Thanks for donating your items to a local agency, and keeping good items out of the landfill.

The NEW 2014-15

The NEW 2014-15 Printed Wishbook is at the printer and is scheduled for delivery in late October.

Copies will be available at that time from free-literature racks in the Rochester area, from mall boards at Greece Ridge and Marketplace Malls, and from local library branches.

For single copies – or multiple copies for your group – you can also send an email with your mailing address to  wishbook@rochester.rr.com.

Thanks to all who have donated items or volunteered their time to help a local charity. Please ... If you have something to donate, and cannot make a connection using this site, contact us at wishbook@rochester.rr.com.

Note: The Wishbook does not accept donations or keep an inventory of items.
