NEW INFORMATION FOR LISTED AGENCIES Will Your Agency Be Included in the New Wishbook? You should have received a mailing the week of August 15 asking you to confirm or update your agency's information in he Wishbook. Responses received by September 3 will be used in this year's printed version. There will only be ONE mailing this year. If your contact person is out of the office, please be sure someone from your agency responds by September 3.
You can also check your information on the Wishbook web site. (Click on List of Agencies). We MUST hear from you by September 3, even if you have no changes. We need to be sure your information is current. Otherwise, we must leave you out of the printed version. Please get back to us as soon as possible. Thanks. |

add your local nonprofit organization to the Wishbook, please send us an
e-mail at wishbook@rochester.rr.com.
We will send you a form by return e-mail asking you to provide information about your agency. To be listed in the Wishbook, you must be a not-for-profit charitable 501(c)(3) organization in the Rochester, NY, area that routinely accepts donations from the public. Your contact person must be someone who will promptly return phone calls and e-mails from potential donors and volunteers, and who will follow through on arrangements for pickup or delivery of items. There is no cost for inclusion in the Wishbook. |

Also, Single Volunteers of Rochester NY is a local organization that provides volunteers in groups of 6 or more for short-term or one-time projects. Go to their web site's Home Page at www.singlevolunteers.org.svrny, then click on "Non-Profits," then "Ask for Volunteers" for information for requesting a group of volunteers for your special event or one-time activity. |
Organization for Wishbook Agencies That Use Volunteers:
The Rochester Area Administrators of Volunteer Services (RAAVS) is a collaboration of agencies and organizations who utilize volunteers to carry out their mission and vision. RAAVS provides support, guidance, training and resources to individuals working in the field of volunteer resources management. Members include: volunteer administrators, program coordinators, executive directors, fund development, resource managers and other professionals in non-profit and for-profit organizations.
