RSVP is the largest volunteer mobilizing and linking program for people age 55 and older.We facilitate these volunteers to use their experience and aptitudes to meet critical needs in the local community. Our RSVP volunteers get to choose where they want to serve, how much time they wish to spend, and when they wish to volunteer. All volunteers are covered with no-cost supplemental accident and liability insurance while on duty.

Volunteers Needed
“Talent scouts” & RSVP Ambassadors to help recruit volunteers for various opportunities in the community.
Coaches for “A Matter of Balance,” an award-winning Falls Awareness/Prevention program.
People who like to drive: either older adult or disabled neighbors to medical appointments, home delivered meals, surplus food, or blood products to area hospitals.
Non-medical caregivers and friendly visitors for homebound neighbors.
Financial and insurance counselors.
Tax preparation assistants/counselors.
Tutors/Mentors to work with school-aged children in Rochester City School district area and some suburbs.
Tutors for adults in basic literacy and English as a Second Language.
Disaster preparation.
Data entry/clerical & office support.
Volunteers who are interested in episodic, short-term or project-oriented volunteer opportunities.
